Nature and Purpose of the Organisation

OIDEL is an international non-governmental organisation specialised in the right to education and freedom of teaching. It holds consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), UNESCO and the Council of Europe. The website https://www.oidel.org aims to:
  • Disseminate publications, studies and indices related to the right to education and freedom of teaching (including the Freedom of Education Index and the Human Rights Observatory).
  • Communicate OIDEL’s activities and interventions before international bodies, including the United Nations Human Rights Council.
