Last week, OIDEL participated in the National Meeting of the National Council for Private School Accreditation (NCPSA), held in Philadelphia, represented by its Director, Ignasi Grau Callizo.
Founded in the United States, NCPSA is a national umbrella organization that brings together and recognizes accrediting agencies serving private schools. Its work seeks to promote quality assurance, accountability, and high educational standards across the independent education sector.
The meeting provided an excellent opportunity to exchange perspectives on how private schools are accredited in the United States, discuss the principal challenges currently facing the sector, and reflect on how international debates on education and human rights increasingly affect independent educational institutions.
During the event, OIDEL presented its international work in defense of freedom of education and shared a mapping of the key challenges currently faced by private schools in different regions of the world. Discussions highlighted the growing importance of protecting educational pluralism and ensuring that families and civil society actors can continue contributing to diverse educational ecosystems.
OIDEL remains committed to strengthening international cooperation and advancing freedom of education, pluralism, and quality education worldwide.
