OIDEL provides training on Educational Pluralism for Irish Catholic School Leaders – Kylmore (Ireland)

On the 11th and 12th of November, Ignasi Grau (director of OIDEL) was invited by ACE-Ireland of Notre Dame University and the Catholic Education Partnership to provide a two-part training: One on how the main international human rights instruments conceive the right to education and one on the main theoretical arguments in international discussions on educational pluralism. Both sessions were followed by a vivid discussion on the implications of the above for Ireland.

The whole event took place in Kylmore Abbey Global Center, in the West of Ireland. It has been tremendously useful for OIDEL for a better understanding of the challenges regarding educational pluralism in Ireland, in particular those of faith-based schools.
