OIDEL presents FEI to Norwegian Parliament
Oslo (Norway), 24th March 2025 | Ignasi Grau, Director of OIDEL, and Josyane Zingg, OIDEL's Advocacy and Training Officer, were invited to the Norwegian Parliament to present the Freedom of Education Index (FEI) and explore ways for the country to fulfill its human rights obligations when it comes to educational pluralism.
OIDEL participates in the ECCE’s GA
Tirana (Albania), 21st-22nd of March 2025 | Catholic Schools is the largest non-governmental schools sector in Europe. As it is custom, we have been invited to the ECCE (European Committee for Catholic Education) General Assembly to give an update on educational pluralism on the international scene and to explain how ECCE can play an important role in moving freedom of education forward in the different European nations.
58th Session of the Human Rights Council
Geneva (Switzerland), March-April 2025 | The 58th session of the Human Rights Council took place in Geneva from 24 February to 4 April 2025, bringing together UN member states, human rights experts, and civil society to address pressing human rights issues worldwide. OIDEL actively engaged in discussions around children’s rights, advocating for parental involvement in the realization of the rights of the child - especially in the field of education. We also supported the participation of one of our Norwegian members in the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of Norway.
