Online signing, 19 December 2025 | OIDEL and Universidad Panamericana (Mexico) signed an academic cooperation agreement online on 19 December 2025, represented by Teresa Martínez on behalf of OIDEL, and by Universidad Panamericana through its Secretary General, Martha Alicia Rodríguez, and the Dean of the Faculty of Law, María Isabel Álvarez.
Paris (France), 11th December 2025 | UNESCO recently hosted the International Symposium on the Future of the Right to Education: Renewing Global Commitments and Charting Future Directions at its Headquarters in Paris. The event marked the 65th anniversary of the 1960 Convention against Discrimination in Education, served as the official closing of the 11th Consultation on the Convention, and included the launch of the 2025 Global Report on the Right to Education.
Paris (France), 9 December 2025 | OIDEL and IPC – Faculties of Philosophy and Psychology of Paris recently signed a framework cooperation agreement, represented by Ignasi Grau, Director of OIDEL, and Emmanuel Brochier, Dean and Director of IPC Paris.
Geneva (Switzerland), 27th–28th November 2025 | Within the framework of the United Nations, the Human Rights Council held the 18th session of the Forum on Minority Issues on the theme “The contribution of minorities to diverse, resilient, and peaceful societies”, in which OIDEL actively participated.This year, the Forum focused on how to better recognize the essential role of minorities in building inclusive societies, as well as the persistent obstacles to their full participation.
Rome (Italy), 26th-27th November 2025 | OIDEL, represented by its director Ignasi Grau, took part in the VI Meeting of the International Forum of Catholic-Inspired NGOs, held at Villa Aurelia (Rome).This gathering brings together more than 120 organizations with consultative status before intergovernmental bodies, with the aim of strengthening collaboration, sharing experiences, and enhancing the collective presence of Catholic-inspired NGOs at the international level.
Geneva (Switzerland), 30th–31st October 2025 | Within the framework of the United Nations, the Human Rights Council convened the 2025 Social Forum under the theme “The contribution of education to the respect, promotion, protection and fulfilment of all human rights for all,” in which OIDEL actively participated.
Barcelona (Spain), 28th October 2025 | The Director General of OIDEL, Ignasi Grau i Callizo, was invited on Monday to appear before the Ponència de la Proposició de llei de garanties del finançament del sistema educatiu català amb un mínim del 6% del PIB per a l’educació at the Parliament of Catalonia.
Strasbourg (France), 13-16 October 2025 | The Conference of International Non-Governmental Organisations (INGOs) serves as the institutional voice of civil society within the Council of Europe (CoE) framework. It brings together all NGOs with participatory status in the CoE, including OIDEL.
Geneva (Switzerland), 8th September – 8th October 2025 | During the last Human Rights Council (HRC) session of the year, OIDEL actively engaged in consultations on draft resolutions, participated in several side events, and organized one of its own.
London (UK), 8-10 October 2025 | Every six months, OIDEL is invited to participate in the General Assembly of the European Committee for Catholic Education (CEEC). This gathering brings together national leaders of Catholic education from across Europe to discuss key issues and strengthen collaboration.
